Velocette Venom 1960 with Original Buff log book - Project. Here we have a 1960 Venom project for sale. The majority of the major parts are present which is a key thing for doing a project like this, but the great thing is the fact that the bike has the original log book present, so it should be no problem in getting the original registration back from the DVLA. Another big plus for this bike is that it is a matching numbers bike still having the original engine in the original frame with the original 12 series gearbox from when it left the factory, plus the original registration number from when it was 1st registered on the 9th June 1960 to the agent Shearsmiths Ltd in York. It still has the original Shearsmiths Ltd logo decal on the rear mudguard.
I know a few other parts are missing from the bike but these are all fairly easy parts to get hold of. The magneto is a 1960 mag, so again this is likely to be the original one that was fitted to the bike. Still present are the Miller switch gear and Miller rear lamp, Amal carb, dynamo, oil tank, toolbox, nacelle cover, gearchange lever, front brake plate and there is also an original air filter unit still present.
The petrol tank will need some work along with the seat but the metal base is still ok to use. Cash on collection or bank transfer prior to collection.
